Recognizing AutoSignal's "easy-to-use procedures," the December issue of Test and Measurement World acknowledges the signal analysis software as one of the "Best in Test" products for 1999. AutoSignal, developed by SPSS Science, an operating unit of SPSS Inc. (Nasdaq: SPSS) was one of ten products named by the magazine, all selected for their important and innovative contribution to the electronics test and measurement industry.
"This software package has been a strong addition to the SPSS Science product family," said Joel York, general manager for SPSS Science. "We've had a great reaction from customers and are pleased that AutoSignal has been recognized with this honor."
AutoSignal software provides easy-to-use procedures for spectral analysis, time-domain analysis and signal processing. Scientists and engineers can perform complex signal analysis without programming by selecting menu items that determine how the computer will analyze and present data. Selecting a processing step or algorithm causes the software to provide further menus or windows so users can tailor performance to their needs. After the user makes a processing selection, the software immediately presents processing results in 2-D or 3-D views.
Since 1991, the Best in Test awards have been presented annually by the editors of Test & Measurement World, with product nominations open to anyone involved in test engineering. The Best in Test winners are selected by the magazine's technical editors and are eligible to win the "1999 Test Product of the Year". Selected by paper ballots found in the December issue of Test & Measurement World, the Test Product of the Year will be announced at the NEPCON West show (February 29 - March 2) as well as in the April issue and at www.tmworld.com.
Test & Measurement World covers the electronics testing industry, providing how-to information for engineers who test, measure and inspect electronic devices, components and systems.
